It is reported that Japan's Panasonic will change its name to the holding company "Panasonic Holdings" in April 2022. The latest news shows that the new Panasonic registered headquarters address will remain in Kadoma City, Osaka Prefecture, but the management and indirect departments will be concentrated in Tokyo. After April 2022, Panasonic will delegate the authority of personnel, salary system, investment judgment, etc. to each business company.

As Panasonic's traditional business, it is also a home appliance brand well-known to Chinese consumers. After the name change, the company name "Panasonic" will be inherited by the business company that manages home appliances and electrical equipment, with its headquarters in Tokyo. Home appliances is a traditional business handed down from the era of Matsushita Electric Industrial, and electrical equipment is a business of Matsushita Electric Works, which was incorporated as a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2011.
